  Thisantibodyisabispecificmonoclonalantibodycapableofsimultaneouslyrecognizethehorseradishperoxidase(HRP)andhumanIgG.Thisantibodyhasdemonstrateditsusefulnessasa"universaldeveloper"inawidevarietyofimmunobasedtechniques.Bi-specificmonoclonalantibodieshavebeensuccessfullyusedinonestepimmunocytochemistryandimmuno-dotassays.Theseresultsdemonstratedthatbispecificantibodiescanbeappliedinquickandsimplestainingproceduresandprovideintenseimmunostaining.TheMcC2antibodywasusedforthedetectionofhumanIgGinasimpleonestepenzyme-linkedimmunosorbantassay(ELISA).Useofthisbispecificantibodyinthisassayresultedinanexcellentsignaltonoiseratiowithbackgroundinnegativecontrolwellsvirtuallynonexistent.McC2wasalsoappliedinaclinicaldiagnostictestforthedetectionofautoanti-nuclearantibodiesinpatientsera.
